Green Interio Fusion handled the glass work for Wok Street, a fine-dining spot in Thrissur, and honestly this project gave us more room to experiment than most jobs do. We ended up using six different glass treatments across one space — custom-fit tempered glass, honeycomb glass, textured glass, a pergola, toughened glass, and handrails made of glass too.
Food’s obviously the star at a restaurant, but if you’ve ever eaten somewhere that just felt right, you know the room’s doing a lot of work behind the scenes. Light hitting a surface a certain way, textures that don’t feel flat, little visual moments that make you look twice. That’s what we were
going for here. Not just installing glass because glass is what we do, but actually thinking through how each piece would sit inside the bigger picture.
Getting the Fit Exactly Right
We started with custom-fit tempered glass everywhere. And I mean everywhere — no generic sizing, no shortcuts. Every single piece got measured and cut to match the actual space it was going into. Restaurants aren’t uniform boxes. Corners are weird, walls curve where you don’t expect, ceiling heights shift. So the fit had to be precise or the whole thing would look off. Tempered glass gives you that sleek modern feel, but only if it’s actually built into the space properly instead of just dropped in.
The Honeycomb Pattern People Actually Notice
This is probably the piece that gets talked about most. We put honeycomb-patterned glass into the interior, and it changes the whole feel of the space compared to standard clear glass. There’s structure to it, a repeating geometry that catches your eye without being obnoxious about it. Most restaurants stick with plain glass because it’s safe. We wanted something with a bit more character here, and the honeycomb pattern delivers exactly that.
Why Not Everything Needed to Be Clear
Some sections got textured glass instead, and there’s a reason for that. Light doesn’t behave the same way on textured surfaces — it scatters, creates little shadows, breaks up in ways clear glass just can’t. Without that texture, a lot of the interior would’ve felt kind of flat, honestly. Adding it in gave certain areas more depth and helped the overall space feel layered rather than one-note. In a dining environment, small touches like this genuinely shift the mood, even if guests can’t quite explain why.
Taking Things Outside With the Pergola
We also built a glass pergola, which basically extends the whole design outward. It’s covered, so it gives shelter, but it’s still letting light through and keeping that visual connection to whatever’s happening outside the restaurant. Rather than treating the outdoor seating like some
separate afterthought, the pergola ties back into everything we did inside. Same language, same feel, just extended past the walls.
Toughened Glass Because Restaurants Get Busy
Not every choice can be purely about looks. Restaurants are chaotic — staff moving fast, dishes clattering, people bumping into things during a busy dinner service. So we used toughened glass in the areas that needed to handle real wear and tear. It’s built to take that daily beating while still looking clean and refined. You need both things at once in a working restaurant, and toughened glass gives you that balance.
Even the Handrails Got Some Thought
Handrails usually just get bolted in wherever code requires them, right? Not here. We did glass handrail works around the circulation areas so the transparency keeps things open instead of blocking sightlines with some bulky metal barrier. It’s a small piece of the puzzle, sure, but it connects with the honeycomb and textured glass elsewhere so nothing in the space feels randomly placed or disconnected.

Fine dining lives in the small stuff most people never consciously notice. Light bouncing differently off a textured wall. A pattern that repeats just enough to catch your attention. The way an indoor room connects naturally to whatever’s outside it. None of these things shout for attention on their own, but stacked together, they shape how someone feels the second they walk through the door.
At Wok Street, we mixed clear, textured, and patterned glass on purpose so the space wouldn’t feel repetitive or flat. What we ended up with is an interior that doesn’t just sit around the dining experience — it’s actually woven into it.
Where This Fits Into What We Do
We work across architectural glass, glass partitions, facades, aluminium systems, and custom interior builds, handling design through to installation ourselves.
